nicole’s thoughts: lost will woo you in. one moment you’re out there living your day to day life, the next moment you gotta watch lost every night (netflix rules). i wonder if the fascination comes from something inside us that wants to believe in something magical in our everyday world that in fact there might just be a place like the island or supernatural occurances anywhere if we’d just be ready and open for them, like the characherts on lost have to be right for the island. i still haven’t quite decided whether the island is of good or bad; maybe it is neutral and it all depends on the spirits of the people inhabiting it. the show is pretty epic, i see why it’s hyped. the characters feel very human and though their lives are filled with dramatic events, on some level you can relate to every single one of them.
alex’s thoughts: i feel, akin to locke, that there is something going on on the island. the most interesting revelation, to me, about the nature of the island was when ben’s childhood was shown. he goes through the woods and sees his dead mother standing there, and she even talks to him. it makes me wonder if the island is somehow connected with some kind of universal consciousness, and how any given person can have their wildest dreams come true.

don’t give me any info past season 5 episode 4
